Our commitment to your privacy
KeyChat does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Translations happen in real-time — your text is sent to a translation service, the result comes back, and nothing is saved anywhere. The keyboard requires Full Access because it needs to read the text field you're typing in and insert the translated text back. That's it. No accounts, no sign-ups, no personal information required.
Analytics
KeyChat uses Firebase Analytics to help us understand how the app is used and to identify crashes and bugs. All analytics data is anonymous — it is not linked to you or your device in any personally identifiable way. Specifically, we collect:
- General usage patterns to improve app stability and performance
- Which language pairs are most used
- Premium version acquisition metrics
- Anonymous statistics by region, iOS version, and session duration
Third-party services
We may employ third-party services for translation processing, app distribution, crash reporting, and usage analysis. These services receive only the text you submit for translation — they do not receive your identity or any personal data about you. Analytics providers have access solely to anonymous, aggregated information.
How your data is handled
All translation processing happens in real-time. The text you type is sent to a translation service and the result is returned instantly — nothing is stored on our servers or the translation provider's servers beyond the immediate request. Premium purchases are managed by the App Store and tied to your Apple ID, not to any KeyChat account.
Security
We value your trust. Since KeyChat does not collect or store personal data, there is no risk of personal information exposure through our service. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or apps accessible through links within the app.
